Over a two day period, participants receive a complete introduction to the services available at UT&E. And it's an opportunity to learn (Discover!) much more about yourself. By the end of the first day, you'll know the level of your reading, writing and math skills and discover your aptitude, interests and values. Before you leave, you'll know how to use all the services at our One Stop Center for your job search: computers, fax machine, copier and phones.
On the second day, you'll meet with a Workforce Specialist who will review your skills and experience, and help you to develop an employment plan.

For those who need to "brush up" on their basic skills: reading, writing and arithmetic. Self-paced and fun. You’ll learn new computer skills as well.
If you’ve given up on earning this basic certificate, a key to getting better paying jobs, give us a chance to show you that you can succeed, and even enjoy the experience.
We teach people how to find good jobs, how to get them, and how to keep them. Includes video-taping of mock interviews, how to answer tough questions about your work history, resume writing, budgeting for a long job search, and even advice on how to work with creditors.
