Work Experience
Work Experience is designed to help workers enter or re-enter the job market. Training is generally in the public sector. For more information, ask a UT&E representative.
On-the-Job Training
On-the-Job Training (OJT) is usually in the private sector. For more information, just ask a UT&E representative.
GED
Getting your GED will open lots of doors!
No matter how long it’s been since high school, we make it easy to get your GED. It’s never too late to improve your chances of getting a better job. Even if learning was hard for you in school, methods have changed so much that you’ll be able to move at your own pace and get as much or as little help as you need.
Even if you hated high school, you’ll be surprised at how enjoyable it is to get your basic certificate. There’s not only no peer pressure in our GED classes, but most people find that we really do make it fun. And you’ll have your GED a lot sooner than you may think!

Truck Driver Training Umpqua Training & Employment recognizes that immediate need and is offering assistance for Truck Driver training. Three four-week training sessions will be offered beginning in January.
