CH2M HILL: Building Bridges, Building Business, Building Oregon

Chances are, CH2M HILL will touch your life today.  Our company started in Corvallis fifty years ago, and we've been part of Oregon ever since - helping our clients clean Oregon's water, engineer Oregon's buildings, and pave Oregon's highways.  In fact, when the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) chose our firm for both the Clark's Branch to Tunnel Mill Race and Sutherlin to Roseburg I-5 projects, CH2M HILL became one of the largest highway/bridge design-builders in the state.

Now, we're preparing a proposal for another ODOT project: to repair and replace bridges within the McKenzie River to Goshen Grade section of I-5 near Eugene and Springfield.  And as part of our commitment to Oregon, we're looking for businesses and people in the local communities to help us do the work.  We know that the best teams include a diverse vendor base and a rich mix of small business partners, so we're working with Umpqua Training & Employment to help us find great local resources for this upcoming project.  Not only do we plan to purchase materials and procedure services from Eugene, Springfield and other communities near the bridge sites, we also expect to fill up to 50 percent of our construciton project-hire craft positions with residents from the project area.  Involving small business partners stimulates competition, brings new ideas and technologies, enhances cost efficiencies, and strengthens the local pool of specialized resources.  The people who are a part of our teams are building more than bridges to the highway - they're building skills and knowledge that will carry them into the future.  CH2M HILL wants that future to be bright...and we'll look forward to hearing from you.
